Agreed on the calls to remaster this and make it available on CD. This is a great show, but these SBDs sound sub-par right now.

My goodness gracious. Just pulled this show down and I can only say why did I not do it sooner! Set II is a complete phace-melting experience! Holey Moley LivePhish.com... PLEASE post the complete runs that mirror the magic in this show... I`m talking 1998 through 2000... Especially July 1999 at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD... Are you kidding me? From what I can remember at that show - Pheeling Mike`s driving base under the endless Trey-sparked loops of what could have possibly been the most tremendous `What`s The Use` EVER!!! Ahhhhh Phish. It does the body, mind and soul good...

This is a fantastic performance. The two night run was great with Bob Weir coming out the night before for a el paso>chaulkdust encore. This was getting to the apex of my Phish experience personally. This was my last show until Brooklyn NY 2003 then after that Coventry.
It was interesting, this show...my first phish show was 10.31.89 and since I moved to CA in 1990 many of my shows were out west after 1991. This show is of personal significance because it marked the end of an era for me. I knew phish would not be touring as much and this raw sound in this show as Trey cranks through some of the best all time phish I have ever heard in my 80 or so shows I attended. I did not see a phish show from 1994-1998. So after 1994 I saw only 5-6 phish shows. So the `later sound` of Phish is nicely captured in this disc.
The show was a great day, I recall a typical warm fall day in Cali and the energy just being super mellow. It was almost as mellow and `security-less` as some of the late 80`s and early 90`s shows I saw. The meatstick is the highlight of the show for me...I remember just cracking up thinking "what are they doing?"...wonderful show!!!
I am soo stoked to listen to this show!!

This show was the possibly my best live Phish experience ever to that date!! A Shoreline fan anyway who has seen every show Phish has played there, my aunt and fiance accompanied me to this one. Not being much for the internet till January 2001, we didn`t know till during setbreak that Phish was "going on hiatus". The Mike`s and Weekapaug groove were thrilling to the bone, 2001 and lights was almost as good as Gorge `98, but every time I listen to Fee, Tweezer, Tweezer reprise, and Meatstick I am transported to that night when I felt carried above the Shoreline "roof" by the magic in every note. We didn`t leave until after the show was over but were the first car that made it out of the front parking lot, which was totally amazing. We were on 101 back to Redwood City in no time, and I wished for a copy of that night until I downloaded the free copy of this and the previous night`s show when livephish.com launched, and will download the flac version. I listen to this every morning at work before anyone else is there and the vibe is so good for your soul, just download it and see for yourself.
