12/1/2003 Pepsi Arena, Albany, NY

Oh my goodness. Besides the obvious monumental importance of this show, the performance was electrifying. Chalkdust just tore the roof off the Pepsi Arena. Stash through Sparkle came down well for the setting of the funk phase of the show (Wolfman`s through the end of YEM). Then the boys brought out Holdsworth! Jeff f#$*ing Holdsworth! From here its very hard to describe my feelings on the rest of the show because of just not knowing whether what I was seeing was really real. We were all witnessing phistory. I hope it never happens again just so I can say I was there. The most utterly shocking/weired/nauseating thing was the fact that people couldn`t get rid of their extras before the show. Usually an extra is as good as gold! I saw one girl leave two tickets on top of a pay phone at 8:00 before going inside. I guess that`s what happens when everybody goes to Boston and skips the small show out of the way in upstate NY, they all miss the debut of Holdsworth. Kudos to the boys for bringing their best show in many many years just a few miles down and across the river from my hometown Troy.
(Oh yeah I thought that it would have been funny if they told Page to beat it-->If so everyone could have seen the original band PHISH for the first time in almost 20 years)

This marked show number 9 for me all time and i`ve got to say it definitely ranks up there with the best, that is if it doesn`t surpass them completely. What an amazing way to open a show Chalkdust, Stash, Guyute, just increadible. Our boys were jamming long and hard all night. I`d like to start listing the highlights, but it was all just great. Pretty crazy to see them reunited with Jeff Holdsworth, their old rhythm guitarist. Not everyday that happens. All in all, i`d say if you`re thinking about downloading this you definitley should, this is PHiSH at their best.

Well, the show was amazing. The boys really stepped it up. Every sone was incredible. The band played very deliberately through each sone, mixed with deep grooves and great high and low jams. I will never forget this show. Best show i`ve ever seen? Who knows. I can`t believe Jeff came out!!!!

wow. this was my sixth show and one of the best i`ve ever heard. the first set was unreal. jeff holdsworth gave us an interesting take on a few old standard favorites. camel walk and possum were great to hear sung by the original author. i thought i heard a great 25 minute YEM this summer at camden, but last night`s was a deeper, more potent jam. all in all, this show is defintely one you should pick up. wow.

Two words: Wolfman`s Brother. It was an out of control carnival ride for the soul, and it felt good.

my first phish show was about 10 years ago when they opened for, and jammed with Santana... and unfortunately i have not seen them again since. i was too busy in a quest to see "more serious musicians" well since rediscovering them this year i`ve realized although they are not pretentious and lofty about who they are... they are very serious about what they do... i`ve listened to countless live shows and i`d say this one was on par with what i expected... i felt it had that slow churning laid back groove that defines the drum logos show and although i love the ambient space, i do prefer to hear them rip it up. i felt they offered a bit of both but in all i felt they were a bit reserved. i got website tickets and much to my dismay, they were behind the stage and the sound was terrible, so i`m going to download the show and give it another listen.. this time with out someone yaking on the back of my chair :)
great setlist great vibe and lots of smiles from trey... the snow danced all night and so did we... thanks-- AD
