12/6/1996 Aladdin Theatre, Las Vegas, NV

Good show but man.... I really think it's way overrated. Not a big fan of any of the versions played this night. Where's the '97-'99??? The antics are kind of cool the first time you listen, but I'm not a fan of Les. I actually like the show before this one quite a bit better!!! But still a great show.

I can't imagine anything better than a Harry Hood > Weekapaug Groove. And these are top 5 versions of each. The Weekapaug has my vote for best ever.

P.S. The encore is a lot of fun. Harpua is something very special and should be treated as such.

The Hood>Weekapaug is what phish is all about. One of my favorite moments

   Encore  (11/28/2009 7:22:01 PM)

Phunk a lunk it was an amazing encore but technically it was just a pua and a suzy with something special thats really it but was very epic love it

This is my favorite show. More raging than anything that can be considered raging. I cant listen to this cd in a crowd of people or someone is bound to get head butted.

Phish came, Phish jammed, Phish conquered Vegas.

In other words, with this concert, Phish really hit the jackpot.

Set I in one word: awesome!! Peaches, 2001, Llama & YEM all rule majorly (the YEM a cappella "donuts" bit never fails to amaze me, even now)

Set II: This is where Phish really kicks tail: Mike's > Simple > Hood > Weekapaug...can you say, Phish at its phinest? Well, with this particular Mike's Groove, they are definitely at the top of their game all the way to the encore. (the ambient note on which Simple closes before seguing into Harry Hood shows you the flexibility of this band, as well as what they're capable of doing on any given night).

Phish definitely rocked Vegas on 12/6/96, I'll tell you that much.
