hey `seeyaonthetrail`>>is there a better version of TasTe out there?
listening to this show for second time here on 3/2/13...approximately how many shows have you listened to so far in your life?

MY BAD!!! I TAKE IT ALL BACK!!! I missed the warning and the explanation above. SORRY GUYS!!

This was a fantastic show, to say the least. I had a great time, as did almost everyone else in attendance. The quality of this recording (both audio and video) is remarkable.

THAT BEING SAID: WHY would you bother releasing this as an incomplete performance???!!! ESPECIALLY since one of the highlights of the show was OMITTED : the reprise of Sneakin Sally during the encore.

Not only that, but the songs taken out were NOT set closers...they were the connective tissue between some great groupings of songs..and all the transitions are fucked as a result. When you listen to these segments IT MAKES NO SENSE!

I am grateful for the material that is on this download...but I wish they could've at least given a warning or offered the audio versions to patch in.

I much prefer the previous night's show to this one (I like tighter, more intense performances), but this is certainly a classic show. I've always loved the goofy, unpredictable nature of this band, and these qualities are in full display here. Some sloppy playing throughout, but genius nonetheless. People these days overestimate the importance of mistake-free playing, IMO. Trey always gets ripped when he misses notes nowadays, like it somehow indicates he's not "into it" or "focused" or some other nonsense. They're PHISH! They're a jam band! The greatest ever, at that. Who cares? It's never been about that. Bob Weir forgot lyrics all the time, and people loved him for it. Why are we so hard on Trey all the time? Anyway, I digress. This is a great show that every fan should probably own. Very unique, at least. I absolutely love the AC/DC Bag. Best I've heard.

Top shelf shows right here. Harpua, Harry Hood, and bringing the funk.
This is Phish at there best.

This show contains one of the funkiest most down right deep jams I have ever heard in the second sets Black Eyed Katie!!! Floor seats, what a night!! What a killer all around show. Still my all time favorite.

I was 18, my mother told me I couldn't go to NYE(my grandma was dying and actually did pass away on January 2). I had a ticket for NYE and drove to NYC, traded my ticket for 1 for 12/29 AND 12/30. What a deal! These shows, along with the Hampton and Worcester runs in the fall changed me forever. They are that good.
