It's a little funny that this is the most popular download here at livephish. Yes, it is one of the greatest reunion, comeback, return, etc. shows of all time but it is not a true taste of what was to come. These Hampton shows are very pale compared to just about anything from the next 3 years. If you want to begin to hear what phish is doing these days, DO NOT START HERE. Instead go to Hartford 2009, Albany II 2009, Atlantic City 2010, The Gorge 2011, Utica 2010, Detroit 2011, Festival 8 or the Super Ball shows.

10-15-2010 Charleston also boasts 28 songs. But Phish built the mold for 3.0 on their very first night back. A tighter "more is more" approach to jamming furiously but with restraint carries the evening. I remember thinking this felt like a show and a half. It damn near was. Besides the unbridled enthusiasm of Fluffhead, the first set actually achieved liftoff for me during Stash (clearly practiced) and lo and behold Trey busted out the vista cruiser for one last go round on Farmhouse. I recall a sly smile when Trey hit the Ross pedal that the phans bought him for the first time. The sound enhancement from 2.0 was self evident. Like HD vs analog. Page rang through like never before, but it was all even and equal. A democracy of sound. The lights go ballistic during Hood. Just sickness that still gives me chills on video. Easiliest the most sober Phish show that I've attended due to a ticket snafu and poor preparation. Nonetheless, I was on cloud 9 leaving the mothership. While clearly not a perfect show, I felt made whole after the Coventry mud bath and rank this night as one of my happiest times on planet earth.

Best Divided Sky Ever!!!!!!!!!!and dare i say Fluffhead (divided sky is fact / and fluffhead is opinion)....... even though sat. show was better the first two songs on fri. were the best played of the whole run in my opinion.............and their not even my fav songs (note:im a big fan of Reba and Split open and melt way different type of jams but sometimes the best songs are not where you expect them to be)

this show just goes to prove that phish has not lost their edge even the littlest bit. by the far the BEST FLUFFHEAD EVER, what an energetic and amazing finish! can't say i agree with the encore too much for the first show since 04 but still a wonderful performance. 9 out of 10 gentlemen. well played!

ok, i rarely make it thru the vocal jam in YEM but i did this morning on the way to work. this comment goes out to the doucher who shouts "shut up and sit down" between YEM and Grind. hey, dude, go see a therapist--they can help you manage that anger. really. it'll be okay.

"Backwards Down the Number Line" is beautiful!!!

Of course they were better when they were "younger" but better is a relative word. Many people will just stick with their hardcore golden years and say "thats it they peaked in 95" done. But i feel that is wrong. They have peaked twice maybe three times. Hampton is over now, and this tour has gotten a lot better. I am happy with it. It won't be like 93-95, OR 97-99, but it will still be great!

its true this is for critiquing shows, however it bothers me when people say things like this (song title) sucks i rememer back in 94 at some f'in place.....its 2009 that was 15 years ago get over it they are older now and have families and are drug addicts in early recovery give them a break...anyone can tell you they were better back then when they were younger....we all know this
