pretty good for how long they have been away from the stage, not really into trey's distorted guitar sound though, these shows remind me of the last time they came back and played hampton. i hope they drop some funk\epic jams tonight, 2001>DWD second set opener? i'll put money on it

I would really like to see more people just listen to this amazing stuff instead of picking it apart. Everyones a musician picking apart every note........It is almost as if you are all just waiting for the mistakes.........................JUST LISTEN!!! I for one think they are tight as ever......you can feel a sort of "smile" through all of this.
Greatest thanks for all you guys have given me.......from way back at Stowe with Santanna to now!!!!!! I couldnt be happier!!

Once again thanks guys. The shows sound good as ever, takes me back to 1993 when I first discovered your music. Come to Tulsa.

Just want to say Fluffhead was such a perfect opener. I tried to guess what the first song would be, this wasnt one of my guesses. But its perfect because it shows they arent going to cheese out on us, They dove in head first and showed everyone they are willing to give everyone what they want and arent afraid to try despite being so rusty. And rusty they are, but this is forgiveable. They been putting the band out of their minds for years. If you look at Mike and Treys solo tour schedule late last year, you know they probably didnt have much time to practice. I think these shows are part of the overall practice for this summers tour. Hampton is an intimate and confortable setting for them, diehard fans will forgive any mistakes and imperfections, we are just happy to have them back. Expect them to only improve in the next few months.
I feel like they are becoming reaquainted with a lot of old friends, once they caught up on old times, the real fun can start.
Thanks so much for the free downloads, that was a perfect selfless offering for all of us. Phish could have made a crapton of cash on these, but they offered it to all of us for free.
I'll be seeing you guys in Mansfield. Wasnt easy to get a ticket, but I managed.
Welcome Back!

To those who are still predicting gamehenge sets; you're crazy...sorry, there's no going back. To those who have criticisms of their cohesiveness, trey's guitar tone, lack on 30 min. "face-melting jams", etc., remember something: The last time they played live was 4.5 years ago! To those who are amazed that phish is playing so well already, playing all their composed tunes very tightly, and think that this is the best comeback yet, I'm right there with you. Cheers to the best band that's ever been! Free downloads day after show!...I've been treated so well by this band, by now its hard to be surprised by such gestures of generosity. See all you beauties on that old road.
