Whoever thought of releasing the show the day after it happened for free is a genius. Great job guys

This isn't necessarily a review, as much as it's a general obeservation: Does anyone else notice that they haven't played a SINGLE Gamehenge song in the first two nights??!! I smell a Gamehenge set tonight!!!

Another great setlist with a lot of mistakes but still some good jamming overall. Listen----THIS IS JUST NOT THE SAME BAND ANYORE. But, that's natural, it happens to every band. That's OK though because what is left is still a great band and the second night in Hampton is proof of that. Like the first night, Page is the man of the hour again. I think he is the glue holding it all together right now. 'Beauty of a Broken Heart' was a great example of Page's song-writing. 'Lawn Boy' was also nice. Mike and Fish sound great together, but Trey seems to be a little behind in his timing. I have no doubt as they continue through the tour, we will see some loose (as in tight) jamming; more-so than we've seen thus far.
So, another strong and lengthy first set highlighted by a solid 'GBOTT' opener. Not my favorite 'Jim' that followed as the second song. The crowd though was riding high after the first two songs, so why then just deflate the room with, 'Brian and Robert?' Then came 'SOAM.' Not my favorite version, but still somewhat jammy. The difference between Phish today and Phish from 15 years ago is that back then you could go to a show and say something like, "...Man, that was the best show ever..." OR "...Damn, that version of Reba was the best I've ever heard..." You just don't have that anymore. They sound a little like a tribute band right now, but give it time----IT WILL ALL FALL INTO PLACE. I know this is all sounding a little over-critical, but I love this band and want them to be like they were when I started listening to them so long ago. That being said, I am pleased to have this for what it is----a still great live act. The long first ended with 'Antelope' and then they came back with good versions of 'Rock-N-Roll' 'Limb X Limb' and I was really digging the jam in 'Paug.' Overall, the band will get better and better but I still think Trey is using too much of a distorted sound compared to pre-2003 performances. I don't know why he is avoiding the clean tone so much. His playing more than any other member of the band has worsened over the years.
Overall, this show was a little better than the First Night and on a scale of 1 Gill - 5 Gills, I give this show an improved score of 3.5 Gills----Thanks, PHISH.

Gentlemen, another tight night. Listening tp these tracks brought me to a happier place. I hope there are no more hiatus' and more tours to come. I wish I could have been there. Thanks for allowing us to download. I hope back on the train is more than a song....and is where you guys are at, and gonna stay there! When I was riding the ferris wheel at Conventry I knew it would be the last concert, it couldn't be! I am so excited you are back and this show was progressively better than 3/6/09. I think in today's economic blues, once thing can always lift me up....a phat show! Thanks for the download, and hope to see you guys at Bonaroo! Much love from upstate NY. FYI- stopped at Nectars the other day-- WTF? It doesn't seem like the home of phish anymore....can you guys buy out Nectars and make it your shrine?
