6/6/2009 Comcast Center, Mansfield, MA

This show was OK and well played.

The first set really didn't get going until Golgi, however, Fluffhead was special and saved the show......for me.

HH was great as was Contact. As you can probably tell I'm and Old Timey Phish Phan (first show Paradise 11/30/89).

BTW....it isn't fair to compare this show Hartford. Hartford was a special night and I hope we get more shows like that down the road.

I agree with campfire. this show was really boring and lacking energy. Thank you to the newbie who dropped that really angry post! That was hilarious!!! Tools like you crack me up silly!

After seeing Phish 8 times this tour, this was hands-down the weakest show of the 8. No question. I agree campfire, Hartford was sick and Jones beach, nights 1 and 3 were killer. I often wonder if some of these kids can even hear the music.

HAHA! Jones Beach was on the first leg... and you absolutely passed the tea-bag test! Thank you for posting! The comedy is a joy for all of the real phans on the scene! HAHA!

campfire, you want to know what you look/ sound like? AN ASSHOLE! Why are you comparing this show to anything in leg 2? Why are you even trying to compare shows. You act like it's some sort of competition between you and that that wook who shoots smack into his testicle. Why are you trying so hard to tell people that they didn't enjoy this show or didn't have a good time. Oh, i get it, it wasn't at the top of your list so that makes the experience null and void for the 24+ thousand fans who were there. Get off your high horse. What the fuck did you expect for their first tour in five years, sober none the less? Campfire, i piss on you to extinguish your flames of disrespect and faggery. How can a fan know that they are as cool and wise as yourself? do you have to pass a teabagging test? do you have to not bathe for weeks on end? Please do tell us how we could ever be headier than thou?

Don't let these drugged out fools sway you into buying this show heads. I have seen Phish too many times to keep track... and i find the people who do keep track laughable. Anyway, red rocks and hartford killed it this tour. Creek and Jones beach night 3 were really on point as well. To say this was a good show is like saying bonnaroo with bruce was epic. these people will like any half ass redition phish throws at them...i kissed a girl at spac anyone? Lol... ya that was epic too huh. Mix in a clue you noobs or washed up deaf tour rats. Be honest with yourself, the band and the phans. stop brown nosing. you just look ignorant.

It's not that we're saying WE could do better. . .only maybe clapton, victor wooten, zappa, etc. have the skill or talent. That is not the point. It is whether or not PHISH can do better, and they can! So stop saying every show is their best when "U have no frame of reference, Donny!"

Definitely not a dud.. I listen to these versions of GBotT, Jibboo, Taste, Seven Below, Fluff, Scent pretty often...I thought Stealing to open ripped (blows other versions from the tour away) and Nothing is sweetly GD-flavored, great tune... the only true snoozer imo was Let Me Lie, we all need time to pee

Sure, Heavy Things and Bug aren't huge jam vehicles but they were both played as well as they can be (especially the latter) and the energy was great in my section in the pavilion-- although the lawn sucks at GW so that may hamper some people's time
ooh, forgot to list my 'qualifications'--1st show Amherst Spring Fling May '92, so I've seen just a few, pretty much every NE/NY show since

Anyone that can say this show sucked, and then heap lofty praise on a disjointed show like spac is definitely taking too many pills

Take it from another veteran: I was there, this show was good, but not that good. Lacked the energy that I am so used to seeing/feeling at phish shows. You could tell phish had not played for the last five years. I do think that they can get back to their roots, but it will take a couple tours. My favorites from this show were BOTT, 7 Below, Heavy Things, Let Me Lie was a nice tune to hear from Trey's solo stuff, and the Fluffhead was pretty sweet. Alltogether good show, but can't wait for them to be the machine they once were.
