I must say - I have downloaded all of the FLAC shows for this tour so far and something about this recording is sub-par compared with the others. Sorry I cant elaborate on exactly what is wrong, but it seems the sound is missing something to me. JMHO.

In response to Kristi Huenefeld, I've seen the same comment from you on multiple shows about how you can't believe you've wasted your money since it sounds so bad. If it sounds so terribly bad why do you keep wasting your money on all these different shows? I have a feeling you aren't even buying them, just bitching.
Look, there are other tapers out there where you are going to find lossless and near-perfect sounding tapes. Phish is doing their fans a big service offering them here for everyone else that isn't in that taper community, and honestly if I'm a normal person and I go to a show I would think it's awesome I could come on here and buy it. That's an awesome thing for them to do, and instead of bitching about the sound why don't you just find another source? There's been enough bitching about it from so many people that I'm sure they get the message by now; everyone is starting to sound like a broken-record.
How about everyone just appreciates the fact that one of the best bands ever is back together and playing again, and it playing pretty damn good! Does anyone expect them to be back to their 90's form right out the door? Hell no. They are already leaps and bounds above where they were when they broke up, and they are headed toward being better and better. Guys, you are doing incredible, already playing some mind-blowing jams. Great job, and I know lots of us are so happy you are back.

I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU ARE CHARGING MONEY FOR THESE RECORDINGS, THEY SOUND TERRIBLE! THE MIX AT THE SHOWS ALSO SOUNDS TERRIBLE, PLEASE HAVE PAUL COACH THIS NEW SOUND GUY IT SOUNDS LIKE AMATEUR HOUR AND IS RUINING THE SOUND OF PHISH.

I got the FLAC encoding of this show and I find that the quality is plenty acceptable. It is not muddy, and it is balanced... plenty of Mike and other low end. This is also a really fun show, great sets.

The sound quality of this SBD is horrible. I can't believe i wasted my money on this garbage. You would'nt know Mike was playing unless you were there to see him. As nice as it is to have access to the shows almost immediately, I would rather wait if sound quality is subpar. I hope that Phish reconsiders the sound quality of these SBDS and releases better quality SBDs for the second leg of summer tour.

Thank You Asheville! What a town. What a venue. I had to pinch myself a couple of times during this show to make sure that I wasn't dreaming of seeing Phish in my high school gym. Check out the chatter before dog faced boy. Trey explains that he got ideas for 3 songs out of Fishman's journal... then he played all three, dog faced boy, gumbo, and tube. AWESOME!!! Hope everyone is having a blast at Roo. Catch up with everyone in PITT!

there is a very pronounced beatles tease in one of the second set jams. see if you hear it too.

I really enjoyed the show a lot, the boys were better then ever. You could feel the magic in the air. Got my face stolen right off my head. I'm very glad that Phish is back on tour, hope many will follow. blows my mind that the show is ready for download the next morning. I'm amazed at all the complaining here. Phish is back, enough said.
