What an experience! First time i made it to that side of the country with a few friends. Took a buddy who doesnt know much Phish he left loving it. As far as the show goes...EPIC! The Suzy was the best ever. The Gin will go down as one of the most epic jams ever. Everything about this show gives me goosebumps just thinking about it. Thanks to all who made it a great experience.

I love DWD as opener so awesome. And the Bathtub > Hood makes me proud to be a phish phan. Trey's looping at the end of Gin let me close my eyes and see the beauty of the gorge at my kitchen in kansas. Special show, one of the better shows for 2009 : ) Have a great day everyone!

THANK YOU!!! That is directed to the reviews saying that this mix SUCKS! I was saying that right after the show and was nearly excommunicated. TREY TOO LOUD!!! Vindication.

I agree with the the poster below. I am going to comment on the actual mix for this release. It sucks.
Trey's guitar not only is TOO LOUD, the eq on his track hurts your head with the 1K and it is very painful to listen to. The show starts off decent with DWD, but the mix slowly gets worse as the show progresses. Jon's drum kit sounds like garbage. It comes across as if he is using a tin can for a snare, his cymbols are way to crispy an d hot, and his overall sound is very tinny. Lots of frequency masking goes on during songs in the low end. Lastly, loosen up on the "ambient" mics being used from the stage that are obviously being added to the mix. What the obsession is with adding audience mics to these mixes is beyond me. Gary Brown ruined every show from first leg with his on the fly matrix mix.
Whoever is mixing the mutitrack stage feed used for these releases is doing a pathetic job. Nugs.net or Phish, not sure who is responsible for the finished product, are doing a very bad job with these releases. Pay somebody who knows what they are doing, and get this sorted out because it's been a whole summer tour and the mix stinks.
WSP use the same equipment, and I have noticed that their live releases on nugs.net are far and away much better than these. Those WSP shows are actually quite incredible, so why is it Phish's shows sound like garbage? Would be nice to see this band give a damn about what they are asking people to pay for on their site. Hope 8 is mixed a little better, because I am tired of great shows getting ruined by people who can't mix this stuff for the releases.
If you like to hear Trey's guitar rip your face off and give you a headache, these shows are for you. Everyone else in teh band suffers from such a crappy mixing job done by whoever is responsible for mixing the stage feed. Pretty bad in my opinion. Phish are at the level that they should not be having these issues. Buyer beware.

I really hope the soundboard mixer checks in here. I love Trey but he is easily 15% too loud. Please lower him in the mix from this point on. It makes me almost cry trying to hear Page through Trey's loudness.
