Amazing show.. solid first set that could've been from 95 minus Moma and Summer of 89. Lucked out with row B from the lottery.. this won't be an experience I will soon forgot. Thanks guys.. sounding great and playing very well off each other

This show got me right where I wanted to be all summer. Speaking as an incredibly critical fan, probably not one of the best shows of all time by a long shot, but so what, it felt great! The band might not be stretching out songs as much (alas 4 song setlists you will be missed) or pulling seemless segues as often as everyone may desire, but the consistency and vibrancy of the band seems renewed, and its showing signs of being a broad foundation upon which to build. This show helped me realize that while I may not be the biggest whale call fan (yet...I have been proven wrong before) the band continues experiment, and clearly has fun together again. They sound miles away even from last year, and although last time in ct they smashed a far superior setlist, I daresay rocked my face even harder this year. The new sound mix sounds unreal compared to last year's. Mike bringing the white chocolate thunder in wolfman, moma, and tweezer alone was worth the 20 bucks a paid to enter the venue (tickets abound). I can honestly say that I can't wait to see what they'll pull next year if they continue to improve at the rate they have since 2009. If they have indeed found a renewed sense of purpose, then all of the proper elements are coming into alignment for something that everyone will want to hear.
Funny you see hardly any of the negativity, and wiener swordfighting subjective arguments that seem to happen on these review boards. Everyone seems happy when the music is playing, (when the headier-than-thous are busy sellin molly to kids), and its nice that while the music can be so dynamic (for better or worse) and the happiness it creates stay so static.
That being said, worth the ten bucks for mp3s I think, highlights incluce: Wolfmans get mike off to a brilliantly funky start Possum>Moma was most unexpected for a nice rockout and more funkbone tickling Reba was really tight until the shamu killed it for me a little bit (just being honest) Tweezer really got me going, I was all eyes on mike and fish, they knew the score A fun Sleeping Monkey encore into probably one of the better encores that i have ever seen .. the dreaded the deuceTweepriser
Fun Fun

This is one of the best shows i've seen in a long time. Everything about the stay was great. The crowne plaza was ripping. The lot was rocking...as soon as you walk into the venue they have nice cold tall cans ready to go. The pavillion was very comfortable and the music was excellent. After last years sick setlist and time I had I was sceptical they could make this show fun....but I was very very happy with the show. I personally loved this entire show and got the best encore I have seen them play and i've seen shit tons of shows. Tre was jumping around and jumping off of his amp and coming to his knees ripping his guit. Mike was dropping the heat all night and has been carrying the band since 09. Can't wait for my next show!!!

So tight. Phish are playing so well. They all seem present and aware at all times. This is making for some fresh tunes. I love the new songs this tour. I think last year was a wise, slow easing back into the touring machine etc. Taking it slow is paying off. This tour is awesome and inspiring.
Joy is fantastic. The early albums only hold their weight against later albums for their intricate compositions. However, the lyrical maturity of the second half of the Phish Discography is eons better. And for that matter, I think Round Room and Undermind are awesome.
Mike E is either joking (seriously, are you really like that?), or... well... he's not the coolest guy in the lot. Peace Mike, but people are not impressed by closed mindedness. This know it all attitude is the kind of thing that bands like Phish want to remove from the scene.
Free yourself, just like the music tries to do.
There are countless Phishheads from waaaaaaaayyyyyy back who understand what Phish is doing now. Positive vibes don't ache to be screamed on reviews though so we get less attention. They are a living thing, not a self cover band. Get with the now, or stop listening. We'll let everyone know when Phish starts recreating past shows like Dark Star or whatever.
Peace. Phish Phish Phish!!!

This is great show and joy is the best album since billy breathes. Mike go away no one here cares for your crap

Mike E sucks and that's a fact

But again, I cannot state enough how much the album joy sucks. I think Phish should stop touring.

I'm an expert on what "sucks" because i have to suck lots of ding dongs to survive when i'm not wasting my time bitching and moaning on the interwebs.
