After waiting only one hour to drive into the venue, there was plenty of time to get down to business. The band was in the same frame of mind. The first set of the weekend took a little while to get going, but Gin, Wolfman’s and Quinn made good early highlights. Peaches, Life on Mars and Funky were also welcome additions to the set list. The second set is what sets this day apart. The playing was solid and creative from start to finish. Even Horse>Silent had some extra mustard. Future hall of fame contenders include the Crosseyed>Chalkdust combo and the psychedelic journey sprouted from Simple. These moments are among the best of the weekend, setting our expectations high. The Show of Life encore fit perfectly and I was surprised to be singing it the entire morning after the show. I certainly found myself right there in Watkins Glen. Thank you all, it was a marvelous show!

oh i forgot, this is a place to bitch and complain about an issue that has been resolved and not a place to write a review about the show. since when has phish ever not come through for their fans.

I agree that the memories of actually being there are the best part of the experience but why would anyone think to scan, photograph, and write down their ticket numbers? Ive been to other shows on the tour and my barcode was not removed. The free mp3s weren't on my mind before the festival, the festival was on my mind (getting there, getting ready, etc).
They will soon email all the information to us and we will get our mp3s so why is everyone so angry and putting down everyone else like we're idiots? It's just something that happened and is going to be fixed. After such an amazing weekend I'm thrilled and yes I was frustrated at first with the mp3 thing but I figured it would be settled and soon it will be.
So let's stop posting negative things about other people and wait patiently for the mp3s and next festival. In the meantime I'll be jamming Live Bait 5, thanks to Phish. What other band is as good to their fans? Grateful to have been a part of that festival with Phish and everyone there.
We've got the biggest BALLS OF THEM ALL!!!

You know, I hate to say it, but Ticket Stub Moron is absolutely right.
The reason you enter your code ahead of time is that every single venue is different, end of story. You never know what will happen. What if you lost your ticket or it was stolen? You would be able to email the Phish office with proof that you had your tickets and they could validate that.
MEMORIES are for the mind - there are no memories from tapes or pictures of these shows. NOTHING compares to being there - if you were then that is the MEMORY. If you were not go sometime in the future. If you cannot remember the show, then you don't have to have been there...you were probably the douche who puked all over my blanket and baby and stroller while your ugly girlfriend tried to apologize.
TSM is not holier than thou...he or she is smarter than most.

Great opening day. For some reason "My Friend My Friend" stuck out the most to me. Really intense, strange, dark jam on that one that stuck in my head. The late set was also very enjoyable with some fun songs, and some of my favorites like "The Wedge" and of course "Horse" into "Silent".

Amazing times this weekend. Thanks a lot Phish. Now let's get this barcode business sorted out so I can relive the memories.
Also, Ticket Stub Morons... get off your high horse. Why should anyone have thought to make copies/take pictures/scan their ticket before showing up at Watkins Glen when most venues now just scan your ticket and leave you with the entire thing, rather than a barcodeless piece? Nevermind, don't answer. I'm not interested in having a conversation, especially when it'll involve a holier-than-thou, real-Phan polemic.

Here is what you should have done:
1. Entered your remption code BEFORE leaving for the festival. 2. Scanned your ticket and kept a copy. 3. Took a photo of your ticket (a good photo). 4. Written the number down near your computer.
Here is what you need to do now:
1. Email Phish tell them you purchased festival tickets and need your code back. They will have your contact information for your order in order to verify. SIMPLE.
Here is what you should think about:
1. Wonder why the scene is filled with nitrous, homeless, miracle seekers, bad drugs, complaints, bickering, etc.? Because fans like you DON'T THINK and then COMPLAIN AFTERWARDS. You eat up anything. You are gullible and senseless. You cannot control your highs. Don't get enough sleep or hydrate enough. Little babies who think that everyone should TAKE CARE OF YOU ALL.
TAKE CARE OF YOURSELVES AND THINK INDEPENDENTLY...
