Hey Shemrahbrown, here's a shout out to ya....that's the best one paragraph summary of of Phish in this era I've read, and I've read and written lots of reviews. I tip my cap to you (I'm not wearing one, but IF I COULD I WOULD). Nice job.

I think this was definitely an unreal start to the summer tour. The second set Carini>Taste>Ghost>Boogie On>If I Could is definitely a big highlight of the first leg of the tour. The energy in the building was on point with the band's. Everything melding into one and it provided the ultimate forum for one big shakedown. In particular I would have to say the best Boogie On Reggae Woman in the the 3.0 era IMHO. You can definitely tell the band especially enjoys playing this venue looking back at past shows played here. These two shows are certainly no different. No doubt two of the better shows of Leg 1 with the emphasis being on this first night for sure.

great show, second set is possibly the best set of the summer so far. i am a 1.0 fan and have really grown to appreciate what phish is bringing to the table in 3.0 the past 2 years after a few shaky tours. people complaining about shows lacking 20+ minute jams have a point but are also forgetting a lot of jams that started with 5 minutes of trey on a delay loop before the jam even started. they're still getting to great places, they're just doing it faster, and while it will never be 1997 again, if you can't appreciate what they're doing by now in 3.0 it's time to move on.

If i Recall last year there was also a very Sick boogie on that may have been best early jam of the tour...and agian i beleave that this Boogie is same way this year..imho ofcourse...peace!

I am interested in negative vibes and positive vibes. Anyone who thinks it is all positive is delusional and no friend of mine.

1.0 vs 3.0......type II vs. type I......10 min vs. 20 min.......blah, blah, blah
Come on.....Seriously people. There is more to this band than comparing one with the other. Do yourslef a favor: listen to a show without looking at the setlist before hand, do not keep looking at your watch during each song, put the iphones away at the concerts (those videos are horrible anyway), and don't think about what year it is or what this band did on any other night. Thank your lucky stars that phish does not attempt to play a repeat of any show from there past. If that happens, all is lost. If you don't like what you are hearing while at the show or after downloading, find another band to listen to. No one is interested in negative vibes around here or at the shows. If you are interested in negative vibes, you are hopeless and will never get it.
Oh, yeah! This show was an excellent start for the year! Definitely worth the download.

AMEN to Mike A. It's all about enjoying the boys for who they are and how they play...lets be honest....they're the tightest they've ever been musically, and still have the passion to rock it out and explore in different ways in different eras. Here's to loving them now as much as we did way back in the day.... cheers to great tunes and even better times....

I know I'm way late to the game here but felt compelled to write this. This show, to me, is the type of show I've been waiting for. I'm not one to call every show the best show ever, and this show isn't the best show ever. But the technical execution and passion is 100% there, and I don't think that it really has been prior to this during 3.0. Not on such start to finish display.
This is the type of show that keeps me coming back. That full force reminds me that it doesn't matter that certain moments and eras can't be recaptured. That as long as the passion and joy is there that the new moments are just as great as the past ones.
