6/22/2012 Riverbend Music Center, Cincinnati, OH

That show was for sure one of my favorites. Fluffhead was definitely the highlight, but i hate the fact that NO ONE here talked about sand. That was their best jam since MSG 12 31 10

It wouldn't twist around that way.

Sickest Wolfman's I have personally heard. The way that Trey bends the pitch before the climax. Dopified bliss.

Out of Rochester, NY I traveled the back roads on my OH/PA journey (Cincy, Burget, Cuyahoga) through the Allegany forest. Great stretch. Riverbend was super warm and inviting. The lawn was some sort of funky turf, very cool, on what seemed to be a steep incline. Peeps were cool and laid back. it felt like a small outdoor show. Sun was up for the entire first set. Shaggy Dog to Runaway Jim led to a very doggy-like set. Loose and fun until Saw It Again and Bowie. for me though, the 2nd set was a mind-melter. What starts as a rock fest w/ Disease, Guehlah, and Kill Devil soon melts into acid Twist jam. After that the lights took over and I forgot where I was..until Fluffhead gently brought me back in the best encore of the OH/PA run. Great times in Cincy!!

The Jam in Light Up is wicked. Listen to the end of Stash, Fish flubs the intro to Poor Heart, and The Moma Dance, so Trey suggests that maybe they should play "songs that start with the drums", including "A lovely song about terror", I Saw It Again.
Twas a fun Friday along the Mighty Ohio!

it was many years ago now.  (7/24/2012 10:56:15 PM)

This isn't who it would be or it isn't who it is.

I felt like everyone was having the time of their lives (especially the band). seen phish about 30 x's since 96 and am very proud of that. This show reaffirmed everything I adore about this band, their true fans and just the overall atmosphere. Highlights for me: my first peaches, shaggy dog (obviously), light up etc., alaska. Llama was awesome and I love how sand is becoming a regular, i have always loved that song and then it segued into roggae with the original ending which is just beautiful. Thank you phish, don't know what i'd do without ya.
