Headphones Jam

   Jeff  (3/22/2010 7:57:55 PM)

I'm currently listening to the Headphones Jam with Headphones on through Phish's amazing radio station. I want to share my appreciation for the beautiful craftsmanship, ingenuity, and quality that is behind this improve.

I look forward to hearing Phish do more studio improve jams in the future.

Thank you very much!

Was not impressed the 1st time I heard this. Re-listened this week & changed my mind completely. This is a fine piece of improv. Must have been in a bad mood the 1st time.
I`ve got hours of great Hendrix & Zeppelin jams from the studio. Let`s hope more of this side of Phish gets released.

I will echo the sentiments of another poster that this is worth the bread. Had I been the winner I would have been tempted to keep this all to myself. I would not have..oh heck, maybe I would! :-) Get it you`ll love it.

wow. fishman is definately the star of this one.
i was on the fence about purchasing this, but boy am i glad i did. the production quality is top notch, and it shows, especially through fishman`s drumset.
this is the equivalent of having some of your personal favorite live jams from the 80`s and 90`s done digitally in a studio.
Lots of tension and release, lots of call and response.
16:22 in, is definately something i recognized, probably from the 2/28/03 nassau tweezer.
35:30 in, and its all bliss from there on out. i love that high energy stuff.
phish is such a more mobile machine when trey is patient and doesnt over power the other members of the band, until just the right time. this is an example of such.
i would love for phish to come back and tour again, but if they only continued, producing and distributing music in this format, i would not be disappointed.

greyboy 2 nights at nokia!!!

Wow... so absolutely sick that I bought it TWICE! By the time I realized that the Jam didn`t actually abruptly end at 30 minutes, it was too late to download it again. But I couldn`t resist and paid for it once more. Luckily this time, the download worked correctly... and i`m even more blown away by the last 15 minutes. I`ve always wondered what Phish sounds like when "no one" is listening... but soundchecks just don`t cut it. In the Undermind DVD, the jam in the middle blows me away so I was pumped when this came out. Please release more "in the studio" jams... they make my day!

the last 8 minutes of this recording/performance has a WHOPPER of a jam. what a way to end a sick sick session.

Just got the download today. Incredible! Phish really had it together this day. The band is tight but free. 47 minutes of pure phish jamming. A definite must have for any headphone junkies. Fish & Mike are a rythem machine that can`t be touched, Page & trey are weaving sounds of pure pleasure through the senses. Not bad for my first download!
