"This show is becoming one of my favorite start to finish performances by Trey Anastasio that I’ve ever heard. The things that he does in the trio with his naturally excellent playing along with his Hendrixian FX control are just miraculous. I went into it thinking the musical space would be sparse due to the trio format but I was pleasantly surprised not only by the amazing force of Trey, but the fact that Russ and Tony clearly have larger roles and are given more latitude to embellish their musical parts more than they do in the larger formats. At the end of the day this is the Tony Markellis show! I have never heard Tony unleashed like this and he takes advantage to show the amazing chops that he has always had on top of his amazing in the pocket groove-keeping. RIP Tony!"
