Show Notes

* purchase the entire show as FLAC or MP3 audio downloads, or purchase video downloads of single songs * Runaway Jim with Trey on his own percussion kit during the jam * The video clips were shot by Eric Larson with one camera at the front-of-house mix position. They were intended for archival purposes only, so it's especially exciting to be able to deliver them here starting 1/5/05 as our first online video. The video was later transferred, sync'd to audio and encoded by Jared Slomoff and Kevin Shapiro. Widely regarded as one of Phish's finest live performances and named one of the "Greatest Concerts of the '90s" by RollingStone, Phish celebrates the 10 Year Anniversary of their 12/31/95 performance with the release of the entire concert on livephish.com. CDs are also available in stores and at Phish Dry Goods. "The years just keep sliding by." Trey said it best during Fly Famous Mockingbird. Phish stormed Madison Square Garden on their annual holiday tour for a night of music, myth, theater and celebration. The Deluxe 3-CD set includes the complete three-set show (27 tracks and more than three and a half hours of music).

"Strong ‘95 show and one of the best of the bands whole career. Mikes Groove and Reba have to be some of the strongest versions here yet. PYITE opener sets the mood perfectly and The Sloth makes a great second song before the jams. Coil is also a solid version here, Maze and Colonel Forbin’s Ascent > Mockingbird are solid. Underrated version of Runaway Jim here has some strong keys from Page. YEM has some of my favorite Trey soloing yet and the CDT is one of the best solos of that song. Lizards is fun. Love the transition from Weekapaug into Sea and Sand when Page dominates. So many highlights. Could it be the best ‘95 show.? Possibly, but there’s definitely another contender or 2. Still holds up, while other shows grasp more nowadays , this show is a true testament to how in their prime they really were and that they were the best live band on the face of the fuckin planet and why they got as successful ss they did this time. If your getting into the band or wanna get an idea of what they are, this show makes a perfect start. "

"I was supposed to be at this show, mail order ticket in hand, 17 senior year of high school and I get arrested for smoking weed in my ‘85 Dodge Ram in a Burger King parking lot a month before the show, so my parents sold my ticket forcing me to miss one of the greatest shows of all time. I’ve still been chasing Sea "
