"Good lord! First of all Id just like to say that I saw TAB in Asheville in 99 and I'm so glad Trey has kept and grown this band. This show was absolutely great and a must download. I was there and as usual it was TAB at the Tabernacle magic. Highlights were a great Magilla as Trey said it was composed on that stage years ago. Love the new songs Pulsing Days has great potential leading to a dirty nasty Dark And Down. This song has great meaning to me as I've dealt with addiction. 1977 was super sexy and vocally impressive (Natalie sure has taking control of her talent recently) , a good shine, surprisingly good Alaska (yea it's Alaska but this version rips) and closes out with a First Tube was was not expected and shows as the loops weren't perfect but a strong performance none the less. Oh yea of coarse Jiboo is always a pleaser. Then the second set. The real good stuff. I really liked Sometime After Sunset, first time I heard the song and instantly loved it. Next, Night Speaks. Where have you been pretty lady. Glad to see this back in the rotation bc it was rocking. Then we go on a little journey. Bounce>Land of Nod> Sand was a great time and I'm pretty sure I blacked out a few times (did I say I was sober). It was that good and it got me to "that place" we seek. Ok then I hear the drums and look at my girlfriend and say "why now?" I'm not a fan of Architect. However, Trey must have felt that vibe from me as he scanned the crowd bc I could tell he knew. He basically (in his own way) said "You will like this song, just wait punk" and went off. "You don't like this song well just listen bitch bc I'm going to MAKE you like it" and he did. Quite possibly the highlight of the night. When he wasn't shining a beam of light (literally) into the crowd of the lights hitting his guitar he made everyone in the Tabernacle including myself a believer. Raise an effin glass my phriends bc although Phish played it at MPP last year and it was good, I couldn't get into it. However, I was more than into on this magical night than I could ever be, bravo Big Red! Clint Eastwood was super cool with band introductions. Money, Love, and Change was flawless and the best version I have heard to date, great stuff. Buy the download just for this and you will not be disappointed. Ok, I could be wrong but I believe this was a day or two around the 15th year anniversary of TAB and Heavy Things was so special. Everyone in the building was singing along and smiles from ear to ear were on the faces of the crowd which lead and kept the energy going. It was if everyone in the building had a "Mary" of their own and now we are laughing about the memories with a joyful attitude. Who cares she took everything I owned bc that Mary gave us this song. An energetic Push to close the set left the minds blown. Encore with a sweet Ooh Child and Black Dog. I said please don't let it be Black Dog as it was predictable but I could not predict the level of enthusiasm and vocal mastery from this version. This was TAB doing their thing at the Tab and Black Dog had everyone throwing it down. Once again as Del McCoury put it at DelFest last year "Trey knows what goes and what don't go" and holy shit this Black Dog went!! TAB, you are great I really love this band and this show will be remembered for a lifetime. Architect was amazing so I will proudly raise my glass to 15 years of TAB going strong. Thanks again for doing what you do. Bringing happiness to the thousands and giving us an intimate rocking and yes for those who don't believe even "Machine Gun Trey" showed up a few times. Download this show fans. If Ps If anyone from the Band happens to see this just know that you have no idea how much joy and happiness you guys bring to many phans and fans out there. So much fun, so happy, and when you are happy enough Trey slaps you with that guitar and you get dirty again bc the Treysta's still got "it" and so do the rest of y'all. Keep up the good work and keep making music - most bands don't get better and better at writing new material but somehow, someway you guys and gals do and I thank you! Russ if you see this review you are the the backbone of the band and thanks for playing and the same goes for you Tony!!!"
