"my first show! about a month before the show, i was at party in the woods, where i d :ont recall. someone brought a radio with a cd player and had a mix playing. i knew the majorly of the songs on the mix tape besides one. i asked a friend who this band was playing on the radio, they said "phish. its a song called weigh". they then informed me theyre coming to darien lake soon and to check them out live. i did just that and never went back."

"Today in Phish history. On Saturday August 7, 1993 Phish played Darien Lake in New York for the first time. And yes, I was at that show. My ticket cost $19.50 though I lost my stub before I got home from the show. I was at the bottom of the lawn Page side. I was living in Mansfield, Pa that summer taking summer classes before my junior year and went up with college friends. We rode some rides in the amusement park prior to the show. My highlights: Besides the whole show…. #bringbacklagrange Seriously I tried to write out what my highlights were but this whole show is just crazy amazing! I mean you got Forbin, you got narration, you got a killer llama opener, you got a crazy jammy Stash, you got Mike’s > Kung, 2001. Dude, this Antelope! ?? I mean come on! I got my first “La Grange” this night! I’m so grateful I was there, other than current Phish, cause that’s always my favorite, 1993 Phish is my favorite era of Phish. "My first ever Phish show! What a great day it was with a chill lot scene and a great show. I have fond memories and I listen to this show often. Knowing what I do now I still think it holds up as one of the best Phish shows ever. If I only I knew what I was hearing at the time! Why does the ticket stub say 7JUL93?"
