"This was simply a great show. The entire band was very enthusiastic from start to finish. The string of songs to start the show was fantastic, The Band cover of "It makes no difference" was perfectly placed in my opinion. This show seemed meaningful to trey, he took time to talk about the writing of certain songs with the band during the encore, and the performance of "At the Gazebo" was great!"

"Can't believe no one has reviewed a single TAB show yet. Maybe has to do with fact that there is no review function on the new livephish app which I otherwise do like. But was not at this show. Listened on app next day though. Thought they sound great. Recording similar quality to the mike gordon show recently released. Very very crisp and well mastered. Trey is a hendrixian beast on this whole mini tour. I caught the boston shows...still desperately waiting for the second show to drop ? THey just were uploading TAB shows like one every couple days a little behind. Like not the nite of type thing you get with phish. But that's ok cuz I think they've taken that time to master them more. Anyway by Boston they were rocking. The two DC shows are incredible especially the first one. That place (9:30 club) is a ridiculously intimate place to see trey at this point in his career. I mean I love that place to death and it is real small! Pretty cool he played two there. Anyway sorry this is kinda all over the place but there isn't a single review for any show on this whole tour so I felt like I could just riff here on the tour itself. This Chicago show is solid. Do not know anything about Aragon ballroom. Sounds nice but I don't have a clue. Anyway really recommend these shows. I'm a big "gears" fan but I gotta say I like the more extensive use of the baritone sax that James employs as well as his little mini keyboard and percussion a stuff. Although there is the one thing missing here! Where is the percussion player? I was def missing the thickness that baptiste's percussion brings to the TAB sound, although It was also nice to hear Russ at times just going at it with no distraction. But they get to some serious jamming even though ther aren't many long long songs. Maybe it's got something to do with soule monde , but ray and Russ sound better than ever and any phish fan who has wondered where hendrixian trey went? He's on TAB tour. It's chamelian trey that's on phish tour. Actually I noticed on the New Years run that maybe due to the short time between end of TAB tour and the NYE run that Trey was keeping a little of his sort of "TAB" sound when he played with phish. To my ear he's usually distinctly different when he plays in the two diff bands. And it was kind of a good thing I think. If that last show of the four was any indication Phish is ready to continue moving in the direction they've been going since like late 2012 thru to now. I like it a lot. If I'm one of the few I could really care less. Love their sound right now as well as this bands. Peace. Listen to these shows and review them! Your missing out on awsum shows and excellent recording jobs!"
