"My first Phish show. Took a greyhound bus with a couple of friends from Mobile, AL. Took some pretty strong boomers just before they came on. First set was fun but I just remember being amazed/entranced by the crowd and really all of jazz fest. Second set I was settled in and had a great time. Wanted more after it was all said and done. I had been listening to them since ‘09 and was glad to have finally seen them. Been to many shows since. "

"Don't let the short length of the songs on this setlist fool you. There's still plenty of improv in this show. Maybe it's been a long time since i've heard certains songs in this set but i'd swear phish is playing some of them differently like Free and Twist than how they were playing them around '96 '98 and '99 (which is a good thing im not complaining). The 70's porno funk of Moma Dance is all laid out to be enjoyed and a outer space like section during Down With Disease. Sand is also another highlight of this set. It's weird to hear a short version of Birds of a Feather i dont think i've heard it that short since the Island Tour. i'll admit i heard some of the samples of the batch of songs from joy when they came out totally dismissing them saying here's where i get off. i was wrong they're just as great as anything else they put out. yeah current phish is different they arent playing the same way as they did from '93-'00. but thats the point of phish they change they evolve. and they're still as great as they ever were."
