"A wave of hope 2 shows in a row that is interesting. Trey really likes that tune clearly. I love the jam not the song so much but it beats Evolve Bug Stash Friends Lifeboy Possum TTE Party Time Demand and Let It Lie. I actually like More Drift (ing or While you are sleeping) Spices SYSF Soul Planet Mercury. And the jury is deliberating still on Steam because it’s my wife’s favorite song. She hates Phish but likes that song. Probably my favorite opening night for the New Year’s Eve run in a long time like since 1997. The first night always sucks so glad to be proven wrong but they switched it tonight three being the worst which is usually the best. And New Year’s Eve itself is never best and it was this year. Phish likes to keep us on our toes. I called the DWD first time I called something correctly. I was hoping for just Coil as encore or have it be the last encore and I’m somewhat of a Mikes Groove purist you can add a simple, but nothing else lol Hydrogen is best of course so a little disappointing when they change it like this. If they are going to do it, I prefer they make it the next night like 221 to 22. 2003 then it was the first time ever but I didn’t know that because it was my first show. All in all great run just skip night three if you don’t want to deep dish dive like Chicago Thank you phish from the bottom of my heart for an epic Gamehendge. Amy Goldwyn was amazing nice and loud to cut through all the wolves howling the wools the chompers and of course The drop and pot heads but worst of all the coked up werewolves and alcoholics screaming. She had such a nice clear, loud voice. Nice choice Trey!! I have no idea who she is but she made Madison Square Garden nice and quiet and lean on her every word like we do with any phish narration. We are obsessed with Gamehendge and my favorite tune will always be lizards but ruby waves is in my top 10 so yes you made another Guyute to me…it is THAT good a tune wish hopefully means the band has at least two more years in them."

"I kinda love when they start a run with a show like this because you just know it’s going to get resolved, and over the next 3 nights resolved it got!! I first felt the tension/struggle 9-10 mins into gin. Is it intentional when they do this? I still can’t tell. In 15th min we find our selves being teased in no man’s land. Ghost seems to slowly unravel and refind us in no man’s as well…intentional plot line? They do use humor to exist. S2 opens asking for crowd participation!? The Howling? Wth is going on? Next, the jam of the night in A Wave of Hope and I’m hoping with all the hope muscle I can muster… but there’s a rift, it’s unavoidable/intentional artistic and beautiful in moments like these. Trapped in time, but they do know what to do…it’s Simple, cause they’ve got a band. The storm is passing thru…we were wrong before, it was wrong to trust!! They might do it TWO MORE TIMES! mercy! mercy! mercy! That Coil was intentionally missing or naked struggle, I still don’t know, but beautifully lacking. “Without a struggle, there can be no progress” F. Douglass We all know the wknd continued to progress from here and to cap the night they reminded us that THIS is what space smells like. We do, truly, dream and struggle together. Bravo men, bravo ??????????"
