"A lot of it is who you are, where you are, and when you are when you listen to it. That being said , this version of Prince Caspian was most excellent. "

"Show was streamlined b4 BG, but then it hit something. Like a willingness to break it up. I like that sound a lot. Strumming patterns are an art, and it’s really a pleasure to listen to one of the greatest of all times. Sure the other instruments have similar patterns and flexes as well. Yea, selling CJ that N1 ticket for Hampton a month earlier; on that greyhound was a mistake. Phish was exactly what I was needing in 03’. Well, 2022-24’ has not been a letdown to my soul. Only ever Broken Heart Attack and it was for me. So, that’s nice! Really, I’d give my tomorrow for one single yesterday. This shit sounds badass, and I’m not even there. Phish is God to me. I’m glad they made the curve, and all is beautiful. Long live The Phish!!"

"2003: a special year. Really pushing the envelope in interesting ways that IMO has yet to be replicated. Whale call was gone; think Byrne I.e. more of a stripped down guitar tone which in turn affected everything. So much searching/digging which paid off more often than not. Round Room songs were in play and they were finding new stuff all over the place. Also a darker tone which satisfied me to no end. They're in a better place these days no doubt but that angst and anxiety from those days fed into the music with fantastic results. Talk about turning water into wine! 25 year old me had no idea how good he really had it..."
