"This show is fantastic, top 10 of 2010 easy. Tube> Oh Kee Pah> Suzy all fits so well, the gumbo is perfect, the antelope too, and the second set is just amazing with the dwd> wtu and the best Sneakin Sally I’ve ever witnessed, great great great show "

"Been going to shows since my first, October 31, 1995! Alpine is not a venue you miss on the Summer Tours. Antelope was SICK. Took my buddy, his first show, Ill never forget watching his face melt off his head. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND START YOUR COLLECTION OFF WITH 8/14/2010! HAPPY NEW YEAR! "

"@ meh thus faht You're REALLY reading too much into it. (Arguably) one of the all time greats was played at Alpine 7/24/99. They don't sweat the venue, you sweat the band."

" So far, I'm at Circus Comes, and this set is technically very good. It's also sounding like the venue is bigger than the band on this one. It's like a spectacle out in a part of the area struggling to communicate. Some of the best shows of the past two years are like a visit among friends, with a warmth and love. Here, it sounds like the band is getting grilled by the venue. When Page says "How you guys doing tonight?" at the beginning of Lawn Boy, it sounds clear that they were struggling hard to break the ice and get past the formality. I think the interesting point is that first Alpine Valley was released on DVD, one of the largest venues that Phish chooses to play. They next DVD will come from one of Fall tour's smallest venues. Ask yourself, which version of this band do you prefer? Many of my favorite aspects of Phish just seem a bit lost on this performance thus far, not that they're not making an effort to rise above the situation. This sounds to me like the kind of crowd that would take Phish in sickness or in health with a tad of indifference, and then complain, compare, or flatter the band after the fact. This is one f'n strong band to put up the fight for expression in a place like this. Very cool."
